Calle zacatín
Calle Zacatín is an iconic street in the city centre, located between Plaza de Bib-Rambla and Gran Vía de Colón. Its name refers to the sale of clothing, particularly second-hand garments, a traditionthat dates back to the Nasrid period., it has long been known as the neighbourhood of dyers, silversmiths and artisans, with metalwork and silk crafts standing out.. In its Muslim past, it was home to the Alhóndiga Zaida and the house of justice. The houses between this street and the Darro River were known as the “back of the Zacatín”. Today, this area is the iconic Reyes Católicos street.
